Annual General Meeting and in house talks

Reviewed by Valerie on 7th December, 2011At the AGM held on December 6th 2011 a new Constitution was agreed and a new Committee was elected.
Ann Cottingham was warmly thanked for her Chairmanship during the last 13 years and she now becomes Honorary President of HAHG.
Roger Kendal spoke of the work Ann has done over the years, including editing and publication of HAHG journals and newsletters and also she wrote the book, â€œHostelries and Inns of Henleyâ€.
On behalf of the new Committee , Roger presented Ann with a copy of the Victoria County History for Henley.
Graham Jones outlined the possible contents of a new website and David Oliver showed members details of the latest digs being undertaken by SOAG.
The new Chairman, Valerie Alasia, thanked the retiring members of the Committee and welcomed those now forming the new Committee. Viz. Ruth Gibson, Hon Secretary; Peter Anderson, Hon Treasurer; Martin Creswell; Viv Greenwood; Graham Jones; Roger Kendall; Pam Syrett; Derek Toms.
Hilary Fisher, whilst no longer a member of the Committee, has agreed to continue as Membership Secretary.
