From Gough to Google: The Development of Printed Maps of Henley

1st November, 2016 John Leighfield
John will show us the appearance of Henley on maps from 1574 onwards. He covers the brief history of maps from earliest times, through developments in the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries (showing an oddity from the 20th century) and finishes with maps using todays technology. John Leighfield read Classics at Exeter College, Oxford, and pursued a distinguished career in Information Technology. Currently, he is a Director of Getmapping, the leading UK supplier of aerial mapping photography services.
